# Success story: Elanthia, mental health with its own website and clinical records software

Elanthia is a psychology practice in Bogotá that sees clients in person and by video call, including people who live outside Colombia. We built its website and Elanthia Clínica, the software its team uses to keep clinical records.

## Project overview

[Elanthia](https://elanthia.co/) is a psychology group based in Bogotá. Its clinical psychologists offer individual, couples and family therapy in person and online —including Spanish-language therapy for people living in other countries— and it runs wellbeing programs for companies, schools and hospitals. At MTechnology we designed and built its website and Elanthia Clínica, a [clinical records software for psychologists](https://elanthia.co/software-clinico/). We worked closely with them: Camilo Bermúdez, from our team, is also Elanthia’s Chief Technology Officer.

## The challenge

A mental health practice earns trust before the first session, and Elanthia had three fronts to solve at once:

**Two audiences on one website.** Someone looking for therapy and a company looking for a wellbeing program read different things. The site had to take each one down its own path without mixing the messages.

**Care doesn’t end at the office.** Sessions happen in person in Bogotá and by video call, sometimes with clients in another country. Scheduling, reminders and payments had to work the same way in both cases.

**A clinical record is not a Word file.** What a client shares is protected by professional confidentiality. The software had to protect every note: who reads it, who changes it and what gets logged.

## Privacy from the first line of code

On a mental health website, what doesn’t load matters too. Elanthia.co loads no third-party scripts when it opens: fonts and libraries are served from its own domain, and every page has a strict content security policy. In the software, each psychologist sees only their own clients, closed notes can’t be edited —clarifications are added instead— and every access to a record is logged. Appointments are confirmed and reminded over WhatsApp with [Eliot](https://eliot.lat/salud), our assistant for practices.
