How Dropanas works: suppliers, warehouses, couriers and sellers
Dropanas connects suppliers, sellers and buyers in Venezuela: the seller sells, the supplier ships to the warehouse and the network of couriers and carriers delivers and collects. We fully redesigned the platform and built the features it was missing to run that entire operation —wallet, inventory, logistics, closings and a supplier API— in a single system.
The challenge
Venezuelan dropshipping is nothing like the textbook kind. Three things complicate everything at once:
Two currencies and a moving exchange rate. Prices, commissions and freight live in dollars and bolívares at the same time. Every rate change throws off whatever was already calculated.
Money arrives four different ways. Cash in dollars, cash in bolívares, mobile payment and Zelle, collected by couriers on the street. Without a closing that separates each method, reconciliation is impossible.
Many different people looking at the same thing. Suppliers, warehouse and logistics coordinators, directors, couriers, partner carriers and sellers. Each needs one part of the same order, and none of them should see the rest.
Goals
That every bolívar and every dollar has an owner and a transaction that explains it; that an order’s status is answered by looking at the screen, not by making a phone call; and that the operation can grow in suppliers, warehouses and couriers without the manual work behind it growing too.
The solution, screen by screen

One wallet per user, in two currencies
Every seller, supplier and courier has a wallet with a balance in dollars and in bolívares. Collections, commissions, shipping costs and withdrawals all land there, each transaction tied to the shipment that generated it. It is the accounting heart of the platform.

The rate rules, and recalculates everything
In Venezuela, yesterday’s price is no good today. When the rate is updated, the platform automatically recalculates commissions, shipping costs and freight rates between warehouses, and keeps a history of every change with its variation.

Per-warehouse inventory, with traceability
Receipts, current stock, outbound shipments and storage location, warehouse by warehouse and supplier by supplier. Every product keeps its history: which warehouse it left, when it came in and where it went.

The shipment as the common thread
Pending, being prepared, in transit, out for delivery, at the office, delivered, paid, issue, return. Every status is visible to the seller, the warehouse, the courier and the partner carrier, without anyone having to call and ask.

The courier’s closing, balanced
Couriers collect cash in dollars, cash in bolívares, mobile payments (pago móvil) or Zelle. The end-of-day closing separates each method, coordination confirms it and reconciliation comes from there. It is exactly where money used to go missing.

Sixteen roles, each with its own dashboard
Administrator, logistics director, logistics and warehouse coordinators, accounting staff, suppliers, couriers, partner carriers, sellers and support users. Each role sees its own menu and only what concerns it.

Suppliers come onto the platform
It is not an add-on: suppliers create their products and variants, ship to Dropanas warehouses, track their inventory and see what they are owed. What used to go through WhatsApp and spreadsheets now has its own screen.

Connected to the seller’s store
A bridge to Shopify and a REST API with tokens, a sandbox and webhooks so suppliers and stores can integrate their own systems without asking anyone for anything.
